In 2.3 843 holding OPT to move an end point of an open path is bugged. Most of the time I try to move a node this way the node jumps to another location nearby.
Perhaps the node is set to be a smooth connection, then it tries to keep the angle when you hold Opt. What happens if you press the return key first to change it to a corner node?
