2.6.2 point order

I am exporting a variable font from Glyphs, and have observed that 2.6.2 exports a different point order than 2.6.1.

While this might not normally be an issue, the font has hinting applied via VTT, which cares quite significantly about point order. Is this an intended change? If not, why might this be happening? I also noted that this point order is different than what is within Glyphs.
