A few questions

When I test photoshop font that’s what happens

And I want to make a few versions of each letter how to do it?
I wrote ״sub a by a.alt;
And Photoshop nothing works.

You don’t have “sub a by a.alt;” in your salt feature. Make sure also that in Photoshop you have Stylistic Alternates turned on.

I know
This is just an example that does not work at all
sub f by f.alt;
sub…by…;
It does not work

To fix the problem with the white overlap, you have to have the correct path direction in all glyphs. There is a section in this tutorial about this: https://www.glyphsapp.com/tutorials/drawing-good-paths

This tutorial might help you: https://www.glyphsapp.com/tutorials/features-part-3-advanced-contextual-alternates

Thanks!

I cannot successful fix.

Run Path > Correct Path Direction on both the a and the d.

Thanks it helped me.
From what I understand to make alternate.
creat new glyph.(f.alt)
salt-sub f by f.alt;
But all this not work for me in Photoshop.

Have you tried taking out the ‘script latn’ declaration? I’m not sure if Photoshop attributes text with a language.

Yes Even so it does not work

?this not work (alternate)

Why salt? Why not calt?

And how are you test-installing your font? Are you using the Adobe Fonts folder?

I tried calt its not work.
yes i using the adobe fonts filter.
I do not know what to do

You can automate all of these OT features.

  1. If you want your ligatures as standard ligatures (i.e., on by default), add a .liga suffix, e.g., l_l.liga. This will auto-generate liga.
  2. Use .ss01 as suffix for your single-letter alternates, e.g., m.ss01. This will auto-generate salt and ss01.

In File > Font Info > Features, select all (Cmd-A) features in the sidebar, delete the features, then click Update and Compile. If you export that, it works just fine in Photoshop:

Make sure you export to the Adobe Fonts folder (avoids cache problems, see links above), make sure you export without hinting (not possible for complex outlines like these) and without removing overlaps (not necessary in your case).
