After giving Glyphsapp 3 try, it is very complicated to work with, there are no tools to convert drawing paths to curves or straight lines, no way to add guide lines, in other the user interface is difficult to navigate.

Option-clicking on a straight line converts it to a curve.
Selecting a bezier handle and deleting it converts a curve to a straight line.
Right-click and choose “Add guide” to add a guide line.

I understand Glyphs must not be really intuitive if you just dive in without any prior knowledge of the program, but the tutorials and the forum are here to help you!
