Hi everyone,
I’m working on creating a new decorated weight for my font in Glyphs 3.
The design makes the letters look like 3D, and I want this weight to replace the default Bold when bold text is applied.
However, I’m running into an issue when trying to export the font. Glyphs won’t allow me to export because the number and order of points in the decorated weight don’t match the other masters. I understand this is necessary for interpolation, but in this case, the decorated weight isn’t meant to interpolate with the other masters.
Is there a way to configure this decorated weight to bypass the point compatibility requirement? Alternatively, can I set it up as a separate master or instance that still functions as the Bold weight in the exported font?
I’d appreciate any advice or tips!
Thank you!
Rony
