Anchors case-sensitive and use in components

Hi - I have a couple of small questions about anchors.

Are the names case-sensitive - ie will Top and top be considered the same or different?

and

If you place glyph A (that already has anchors) inside another glyph B (as a component), and you add anchors in B, which anchors take priority?

Different:

If you place glyph A (that already has anchors) inside another glyph B (as a component), and you add anchors in B , which anchors take priority?

That depends on what kind of glyph B is.

1. Is it a mark? Then it will look for xxx/_xxx pairs (e.g. top/_top).
2. Are both A and B letters? Then it will look for exit and entry anchors, otherwise it will just put them next to each other according to their widths.

If there are multiple possibilities, you get to choose with the anchor symbol in the grey info panel.

It will use the anchors in B. Only if B has no anchor, it will look into A.
