I’ve tried to type on Illustrator but unfortunately letters don’t connect. On Glyphs text preview I don’t see any problem. Also on Illustrator I can type properly with other fonts, settings arranged for Arabic. I’m not sure where the problem is.
I think you may not have generated the Arabic OpenType features yet. Open Font Info, then Features tab, click Update button at the bottom menu.
