I’m pretty sure the answer is right there in front of me and it is going to be silly…
but I’ve tried everything to anchor the dots / components within the ligatures with no luck…
Tried keeping the 4 anchor names as top, bottom, top_1, bottom_1
Tried top_1, bottom_1, top_2, bottom_2 which seems to be functioning within the lam alef ligature
Hey @GeorgSeifert it is working with top_x bottom_x as intended now but only when I restart Glyphs…There might be a bug as I’m having to restart the app every time I start preparing the main glyph to be used as a component for it’s corresponding ligatures…
No. This is all still within the app I didn’t export anything.
It is when I build a ligatures like “alefMaksura_reh-ar.fina” for example and I put the anchors “top_1, bottom_1, top_2, bottom_2” then I go to “beh_zain-ar.fina” to create composite. When I want to lock the dots to the anchors, it does not show me “top_2” until I restart the app.
I hope that’s clear. I sorted the issue out by restarting the app with every main ligature I create. After the restart it shows me the anchors I can lock the dots to.
To work around it, you can use the “Anchor Components” palette plugin (not quite sure about the name) by mekkablue. You can find it in the plugin manager.
I just tried it in the exact steps you described.
make alefMaksura_reh-ar.fina, add anchors, make beh_zain-ar.fina, add components, self dot and the anchors show up.
I worked on this a couple weeks ago (in 3416) and it should work now.
So @fadem94 can you try the latest cutting edge version?
