Is there a script or formula for dnom/numr sidebearings and kerning pairs relative to the figures from which they are derived?

Best to start with your dnom figures because they are on the baseline, make sure they are as good as they get, space them, add kerning groups and kern them where necessary; then run the Build Small Figures script.

Thanks Rainer – that’s helpful, although I was wondering if there was a way to get the dnoms looking good automatically, based on the spacing of the regular figures (it’s combination of short schedule and laziness on my part)

Utilizing smart components would be a great start if we talk about bypassing the drawing phase.

But still, Rainer points stand. You need to space and kern them if you desire a decent result.
