Background Layer - Command-B in glyph tab makes tab hang / freeze

I’ve been getting a bug a few times for the last few days when I press Cmd-B to edit the Background layer. When I press that keyboard shortcut, the window freezes/hangs - I get the spinning beach ball.

It doesn’t freeze the whole program though, so I can fix things by going to another tab and saving the document with a new file name, closing it and reopening the file.

Still, I wanted to point out the bug.

This is not the only background bug. Guides cannot be moved with the mouse, rotate does not work, the primitives tool does not work correctly, and other problems occur in the background. I think these problems started popping up in 1.2.x and are getting worse with each update.
