Beginners question: how do i open a closed path? (make it a stroke)

well i just start working on glyhps, used to work with ‘fontographer 5’,
there i used the ‘knife tool’ to open paths, but it seems that all that the knife do in ‘glyhps’ is to add new nodes to the shape, and dont making an ‘open cut’.

im sure there’s a basic solution for that, but you wouldnt know, i spent too much time figuring it out alone, im clueless.

ok! i got it!

all was needed to do is to click with the pen tool on an existing node, than it makes it ‘loose’

You can also crack open a path by removing complete segments: select them, then hold down the Option key and press Delete.
