Best Practices for placing diacritics on font with 9-degree slant

I am creating a revival font I have monikered Pettingill. For the italic (slanted) version of it I am finding it difficult to decide where to place the diacritics. Please advise. Thanks, Chuck

Italic diacritics are usually placed at a smaller angle than the italic slant. I leave the anchors in the base letters in the center, but I do compensate the _top and _bottom positions in the marks a little. The _top goes a bit to the right, the _bottom a bit to the left.
