Blank A-z glyphs upon export

Hi guys.

I’m using 2.2.

I built an icon font (with PUA values), but Glyphs added blank glyphs for A–Z and a–z upon export. I added a customer parameter on the instance to remove these. I know the OpenType spec requires a certain first 4 glyphs, but not A–Z. I’m curious, is the addition of the blank glyphs to compensate for an app requirement/bug somewhere?

I cannot reproduce this in 2.2.1. Can you send me the .glyphs file?

Are you sure that the empty glyph are in the font file but not in the .glyphs file?

I figured it out, a user error. :grin: Opening a new Glyphs file gave me the blank A-z glyphs, so it was in the source all along. Duh.
