Brace layers distorting extreme instances

I’ve inserted brace layers on /f and /t in a single-axis MM face to help smooth interpolation from a mostly-vertical terminal to a mostly-horizontal terminal, and I’ve found that the lightest and boldest generated instances are being distorted (as in the attached screenshots), even though they should exactly match what I’ve drawn for the light and bold masters. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Can it be the lightest and boldest instances are _extra_polations?

They’re not meant to be. They’re meant to match the light and bold masters.

As a test, I tried making the lightest weight a bit bolder than the light master and the boldest weight a bit lighter than the bold master. Problem is still there. Still acting like some kind of funky extrapolation.

Can you send me the file?

That is fixed in the latest cutting edge version (2.5)
