You can use the fontmake export plugin: GitHub - schriftgestalt/FontMakeExportPlugin: Glyphs export plugin that uses fontmake

Glyphs currently only supports TrueType based variable fonts. If you need CFF based fonts, you need to use fontmake as Sebastian explained.
But others that the outline format, .ttf fonts are exactly the same as .otf fonts. So if you just need the .otf extension, you can simply rename the file.
