Can’t convert to compatible TrueType curves ERROR

Hi. I’m creating a variable font and I’m very new to glyphs. When trying to export my font, I get the error: Can’t convert to compatible TrueType curves. Glyph “a” is not compatible. I can export the font if I export without the “a” glyph.

I’m showing “Show Master Compatibility” and I’ve located what nodes are the issue, but I can not figure out how to fix it. I’ve checked that there are the same amount of nodes on all masters, that they all have the same first nodes, that the nodes match up, and I just can’t figure it out.

I would very much appreciate some help. Thanks!

Make sure that not only the number of nodes is consistent, but also the type of path for each segment. That is, whether it is a curve (with two round handles) or a straight line (no handles).
PS: If you show us the other master we can tell you for sure.
