Cannot adjust weight using RMX Tuner or Scaler

I have paid for and downloaded the RMX Tools plugin. Since using it I have experienced an inconsistent ability to be able to add weight using the RMX Tuner or Scaler.

I have been duplicating a master, ensuring that the new master is assigned a new name and weight value. All masters are compatible. However, when I try to add weight using RMX it simply does nothing. I am able to change width, height and slant but not weight. Is there something I am doing wrong here?

The RMX-Tools need a difference in weight already. It can adjust from there.
