Change default figures set for a variable font with opsz axis

Hi, I m working in a custom project for a company that needs a variable font with opsz where:

  • the large extreme of the opsz axis is expressive, for communication purposes
  • the small extreme of the opsz axis is functional, intended for interfaces, an app, tables, blah blah

I would like the default figures set in the large extreme to be proportional, and the default figure set in the small opsz to be the tabular, what would you say is the best way to do this? rlig feature? any other?
