Change glyphs name to valid ones

It’s possible to automagically change glyphs names? For example, I need to replace this À to Agrave.

The glyph name should be adjusted automatically when you enter a Unicode character like À. How did you create this glyph? And what happens when you click on the name and confirm it again by pressing Return?

Or run Glyph > Update Glyph Info.

What version of Glyphs do you have?

Can you send me the . Glyphs file?
And do you happen to have a custom GlyphData.xml file?

Is Use custom naming (in Font Info > Other) checked or unchecked?

Oh that works. I unchecked Use custom naming and then I was able to fix by Glyph > Update Glyph Info.

@GeorgSeifert Maybe when Use custom naming is checked and user try to Update Glyph Info, an alert explaining why nothing happens should appear :slight_smile:

That function is doing more than update the name. So it is often the case that the name is not changing.
