Changing metrics doesn't shift background images in turn

When you change the metrics of a glyph that has an image in the background, the background image doesn’t move along, the image in the foreground moves correctly however. They should sync.

I fixed it.
But I wonder why you have an image in the background?

I flip between background and filled foreground to check whether the filled in characters match
