I’m creating a massive handwriting font. I’ve spent a lot of time reading the Features lessons, namely Parts 3 (Advanced Contextual Alternates) and Part 4 (Positional Alternates). My question is - can I combine those two concepts? Here’s what I mean: I would create @3 sets of “Initial” position glyphs and have a script that cycles through the 3 Initial sets as they are needed. I would also have similar 3 sets for Isolation, Medial & Final positions. Yeah it’s a lot of sets, I think 12+?! Anyhoo, any guidance on how to do this is most appreciated.
