I have a font with kerning pairs like A T -111 and Aring T -111, and I thought Compress should turns these into kerning classes, but it seems to do nothing for me (in other fonts it does make changes), would would possibly be the reason for this?
If there already is kerning for @A-T, it will not overwrite it and keep the exception.

There are no other kerning groups in the font, the kerning is imported from AFM files and pair kerning is used all a long. I’m trying to convert it to kerning groups to simplify kerning accented glyphs that were missed in the old kerning, and I thought Compress would help with that.
Did you set kerning groups? And do the letters in question have kerning groups?
