Hi all,
we are building an sbix color font. Now the file is getting big quite fast, which makes handling in InDesign a problem. To make it work in InDesign we activated the »sbix to svg« parameter. But this than doubles the font file in size.
We need to be able to print the font and glyphs in rather large sizes. Any recommendations on how to reduce the file size, compress or do whatever to reduce file sizes? Thanks in advance for any hints or answers.
Cheers – Henning
When the SBIX is working, why adding the SVG table? SVG compresses even worse than plain SBIX. At least disable SBIX if you add SVG.
Maybe try to compress the PNG files that you place as much as possible. Glyphs should just use the data as is. The free tool ImageOptim — better Save for Web is quite useful for this.
