The related question I have is how two switch back and forth between versions of the app. When I get a warning that a file was created in a previous version of the app, I’d like to be able to open that file in the previous version of the app to avoid the problems associated with opening in a new version. Is that possible now, or is it something that you’d consider adding to future updates?
You can just keep more then one app in your Applications folder. Append the version number to the apps name. The warning about the versions is specially for this case that you don’t accidentally open the file in the wrong version.
