Contextual alternates + Alternate layers

Hello,

I have a bit of a weird one,
I have a font with a stylistic set for a character. I also want to create a contextual alternate in some combanations, but only in the bolder weights.

The solution I found was to create a .alt that will be a component of the character and also have an alternative layer that will have a component of the stylistic set. the contextual switch works fine but doesn’t use the [alt] layer.

I hope I made it clear enough
I will add some screenshots to explain it better

I don’t really understand what you are trying to do. But you could accomplish it with some “Remove Glyphs” and “Replace Feature”/“Add Feature” parameter in the instances.

Yep, I just did the “Add Feature” in instances and it worked without all the stuff I did haha
Thanks!

Look at the Switching Shapes tutorial.

I did but for some reason, the brace layer didn’t work for me on the alternative glyph (it does work in other places in the font).
In any case, adding a parameter in the instances did the job:)
