Different systems have different requirements on the glyphs set. And it might be something totally unrelated like the nbspace.
So how can I solve this problem?

I do not know which application you’re using. In Microsoft Word, you can type in your own letters, and when you type a character for which there is no glyph in your font, it falls back to another font. This can also be something like zerowidthnonjoiner. You will have to do a lot of testing.
