Hello,
I am dealing with misalignment of a point of a corner component in i,j glyphs in my interpolated weights (between light, medium, extrabold). Sending photos. Appreciate any help!
Can you show the outlines in the exported fonts?
That obviously shouldn’t happen. Would you mind sending me a Glyphs file for testing? If you want, just with the cap component and the i glyph (in two masters).
Ah, one more thing: use cap components for this, not corner components. That might already solve your issue.
Yes, I can try cap components too, but if this would work it would save some time on changes.

Here is the file
With cap components it’s best to set up width variants with intermediate layers so you can make the best of the Fit option. If you have caps that precisely match the receiving paths, still there may be rounding errors of a unit, but the distortions of fitting the cap will be negligible unless it’s a very thin stem.
in this case, use a cap component. I rebuild you file accordingly.

Thanks a lot for the help, used caps, works better ![]()
OMG, I did not know this. Good to have seen it accidentally now for a current project.
I was always messing with the x and y values in each glyph to get them fit okay.
Is this documented somewhere? Cannot find it in the tuts, nor the manual. Edit: found it in the online manual, but only in the corner component section.
