I’ve seen various posts here about corner smoothing when switching between blue and green, but my question is focused on a different aspect of this topic.
I’m seeking a workflow or plugin that can provide extra smooth corners, similar to the functionality in Figma. Figma offers a slider from 0 to 100, (with 60 being the setting used for iOS squircles). This essentially inserts control points to achieve the desired level of smoothness, which are hidden until the shapes are baked (e.g., converted to outlines).
I am not aware of a plugin for Glyphs that does exactly this, but it’s an interesting challenge. There are some public git repositories that detail the mathematics behind it, for instance:
It’s a bit much to just digest in a few minutes, but maybe Claude.ai can help in condensing this into a Glyphs plugin.
