Corrupted file: bracket layer values get lost

Hi Georg / Rainer,
I have a font file that seems to have two weird bugs:

  1. values for bracket layers of certain glyphs are erased when I save the file. When I open it again, the bracket layers are still there, but they have no values anymore.
  2. Upon saving, Glyphs also adds points with strange coordinates in W and X – even though I never touch these two glyphs… I can open the .glyphspackage in an editor and manually delete the additional values, but when I open the file in Glyphs again and save it, these values are added again…

Glyphs is up-to-date, 3.3.1

Do you need further information or would you like me to send you the file?

Cheers!
Daniel

Can you send us the file in the state as it was before you opened and saved it?

done

Can you try the latest cutting edge version?

I remember there being an issue with intermediate layer values not being saved when the file version was set to 2 (Font Info > Other > File format version). Did you check that it’s set to 3?

Thanks @SCarewe … That did the trick. I have no idea how, but it seems as if it was always accidentally saved as a version2 file… Thanks guys!
