Counter Fill

Hello

My lowercase g and uppercase A, B and Q have filled in counters when I copy/paste the outlines from Illustrator. I have redrawn these characters several times, but it doesn’t seem to help. These are the only characters that I’m having an issue with.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks
Ryan

From Glyphs Help:

“White contours in glyphs are made with if two paths with different directions overlap.
If the inner path does not cut out, you can right click on a node - there is a ‘Revert Path’ option in the context menu.”

By node, do you mean counter? I’ve tried and there’s no ‘Revert Path’ option that comes up when I right click.

Also, what did you type into help to find this information? I tried ‘contour’, ‘node’, and ‘revert path’ and found nothing like that.

Thanks
Ryan

Node is one of the points that define the contour. In Glyphs they are green or blue.

The actual name is Reverse Contour.

Help > Glyphs Help > [typed in Search Field] Reverse Contour > Drawing Glpyhs > Making white contours.

Nice! Thank you!
