# Creating a component from selection bugs when from a component

This is not the most exiting bug.

Trying to create a component from selection that is itself a component, and it gets weird.

My client creates `Ldot` using `dotaccentcomb`, with an anchor to have automatic alignment. With G3 I used to create `periodcentered.loclCAT.case` from there to already have it positioned at the same horizontal level.

1. Suggested naming ends with .`case.case`

1. the component created goes back to the initial position of dotaccentcomb. Which goes against the strategy.

2. the nested component appears “empty”

1. when leaving the glyph edit view of the created component, it appears also empty.

I tried to reproduce in a minimal test file and only gets problem 1 and 2. So maybe forget about problem 3 and 4 if you can’t reproduce either, and this is the minimal test file:

I fixed the first two. The “No base glyph” goes away if you do any change to the new glyph. I’ll try to fix that, too.
