Is it possible to include a creation date within a selected glyph.

What do you mean by that? Can you explain it a bit more?

I would like to have a custom date within a glyph’s name for possible filtering of fonts designed on the day or time somewhat like the meta data within an image file is this possible with naming methods.

You want to archive different versions of the same glyphs? Then use layers inside a glyph. They are named with the date by default.

In the list view, there’s a “Last Changed” column. Is that not good enough?

Last changed column gives an overall view of the creation date that is good enough at present.
