I have a small feature request. When opening a .otf or .ttf in Glyphs, it would be great if the glyphOrder custom parameter was deactivated by default. I understand that we want to keep this information for some rare use cases but I always deactivate it instantly after opening a font so as to get a better overview. Would it be possible to deactivate the CP by default, or maybe as a user setting? Thanks!
I can see the utility in that, but sounds like a setting to me, as I prefer the original order when opening binary files.
It you disable “Keep Glyph names from imported files” in Preferences > User Settings. There will not be a glyphOrder parameter at all. So you can choose: 1) Preserve as much as possible (names and order) or 2) just let Glyphs pick the order and names.
