I used a segment component to shape my font, and it’s present in all glyphs. Useful feature. Now that it has done the job, I need to decompose all its instances throughout the font. Is there a script or a way to accomplish this without having to manually go through each glyph?
Why do you like to do this? Why not just keep them?
Personally, I love segments components and would keep them forever. It’s a request.
Update: Claude helped me with this by coding two scripts: one decomposes _segments.xyz only in selected glyphs, the other does it for all glyphs in all masters.
I’d only use them if I’m required to. The concept of reusable shapes to me is one of the best Glyphs features.
I would always keep the master files with the components and only send the decomposed ones to the client.
