Should ‘marks’ (or diacritics) like brevecomb, acutecomb, ringcomb etc have 0 metrics, or can you add a left and right sidebearing so they are centered? Like LS and RS are 20 or so?
The combing marks (glyph name ends in comb) are reduced to a width of zero on export. You can given them as much or as little sidebearings are you want.

@FlorianPircher - thanks! That is a comforting piece of knowledge. I thought the mark sidebearings would interfere with the glyph sidebearings
