Forgive me if this is an old question - but is it possible to export different character sets from the same master? For example, a version with and without swashes, or with a different set of alternates, without turning on or off the ticked export option? I’d also like the alternates to take the same suffix names - in one file, an alternate swash would have to have a different name on export from the regular swatch as they cannot both have the same name in the master. At the moment, I duplicate the master then adjust accordingly, but of course this means any updates have to be made twice. Thanks.
I think that would be the “export glyphs” custom parameter (p183 in Handbook).
Thanks for the fast reply - so I set up two instances, and apply a custom glyph export list for each? Does that rename them? If, on export, a glyph is renamed, does it carry over all the kerning info of the original or take on the kerning info of the character whose name it is taking?
To rename glyphs you would need the “rename glyphs” custom parameter (p194 in Handbook).
In your case you would need both.
