Exporting multiple variable files

Hi everyone, is there an elegant way to export multiple variable files with different axes? For example I got ‘weight’ and ‘italic’ axes. Now I want to export maybe only the ‘weight’ axes or only the ‘italic’. Or maybe just one variable file from Regular to Regular Italic.

Since a few Glyphs versions, as far as I know, you can add the “Disable Masters” custom parameter to your variable font setting. So just add multiple variable font settings and add custom parameters accordingly.

Otherwise, I wrote a (very experimental) script that creates glyphs files to export a subset. You can completely remove axes or just define segments, even if you don’t have masters at these coordinates. If you use it, feedback is very much appreciated:
