Feature requests: Easier glyph navigation and discovery in Glyphs

hi. I work a lot with Glyphs, and I’ve realized that two features could make my workflow much easier and faster. There may already be alternative ways to achieve this that I’m not aware of, so if so, please let me know.

  1. I really like the Option-click feature that turns glyph names into a clear visual list. I was wondering if there’s a way to do something similar for kerning group names in the Font view and/or Glyph view. something like this:

  1. Quite often, I need to find where a particular glyph is used in the feature code. It would be really helpful if there were a way to highlight all occurrences of a glyph name with colored markers. for example, by searching for a glyph name and showing colored numbered bubbles next to each ot-feature entry and highlighting the names, it could be just in Features window or even triggered via a button in the Font/Glyph view for any given glyph(s)… At least for me, this would save a lot of time. 1. I’ll think about the visualization of the kerning classes.

  2. You can search in the feature code. Hit Cmd+F and tyle the glyph name. That will highlight the search text in the current feature. In Glyphs 4 (you can try the beta version) you can search over all features. That will filter the features in the left sidebar to the ones that contain the search string …
