When creating symbols which do not change in shape across masters (i e border elements) it would be handy to have a quasi-component feature that would allow import the symbol rather than copy/paste the paths to the other master(s). This would also save time when a change or correction of a path is required since the change would automatically happen in the other master and prevent consistency errors.
