File can't be opened -- please help

A huge fontfile can’t be opened again, while I’m in final kerning laps.
A dialogue box shows "The document “Ermis Pro-Italic.glyphs” could not be opened."
Unfortunately I have no copy of the file after the last working hours.
Is there a chance to open it again?
Help is very much appreciated, I’m using Glyphs 2.4.
Thanks
Ekke

Have you tried the latest beta?
Anything in the console?

Can you send me the file?

Hi, I recently downloaded the latest beta, still the same problem.
The console shows the following: Last login: Mon Feb 20 00:25:30 on ttys000

But it didn’t resolve the issue either.

I also deleted the large sample string in TextEdit, because first thought that’s the reason.

Thanks for your late night help, hope to see you soon!

Do you have any other ideas?

Hi Georg,
I emailed you to info@glyphsapp.com.
Thanks!

Good morning, sry, I mixed up Console with Terminal.
Console shows the following entries:

Is there a chance to save the file or shall I repeat the work in the last saved file? (Friday, unfortunately :-/)

Thank you
Ekke

Hi, Georg and Mekkablue (and perhaps others),
am I doing right to repeat the weekend’s work on the last saved file from Friday or is there any hope to get the damaged file to run?
I’m eager to proceed with that font
Yours
Ekke

I decided to leave the broken file and redo last weekend’s amends instead.
Thanks for starting to help!

For me, you would have to mail it to res at glyphsapp dot com. I don’t have access to the info address.

Sorry for not answering earlier. Was not in the office all day. I had a very short look at the file and it seems to be damaged badly. I’ll try to restore as much as possible, tomorrow.

Hi Georg, no problem, it has been great that you two answered my call for help late night yesterday.
Please don’t restore the file, I’m on the half way through with all changes.
Thanks again
Ekke

Sorry, I didn’t know that address.
Please tell me if you are interested in seeing that file for quality reasons, I will send it then.
All the best for now
Ekke
