hello,
is there a reason why the version number of my font is:
Version 1.001;PS 001.001;hotconv 1.0.70;makeotf.lib2.5.58329 DEVELOPMENT
When I just put 1.001 in the font info window?
and, by the way, can I put 1.1 instead of 1.001?
Thanks
Sylvain
The long string is what makeOTF puts in there.
1.1 would be 1.100 (one hundred in the second field).

Ok, so there’s no way to remove it?
No way that does not include ttx or OTMaster.
I wouldn’t remove it. InDesign reads the version info, and thus, can deal with known errors in specific AFDKO versions.

more importantly, ow do you remove this part:
PS 001.001;hotconv 1.0.70;makeotf.lib2.5.58329
?
As mekkablue said, you do not remove it.
Hey Georg, so seriously, to get a clean »Version 1.000« in the Version field buying the DTL OTMaster for 255 (apart from ttf) is the only way?
I try to fix that asap. For not either OTMaster or TTX (that is free but command line).
Hello,
I’m generating a Regular, SemiBold and Bold from my MM File. For some reason I can not see a Version number in the Regular and Bold, where in the SemiBold it shows the Version number.
Any ideas?
where do you “see” the version numbers?
When I’m in the finder and by clicking on the font file, it shows the file info like Name, Kind, Size … and Version.
for example:
Version 1.004;PS 001.004;hotconv 1.0.70;makeotf.lib2.5.58329
It works now, I don’t know why as I haven’t changed anything really!
Thanks anyway!
Finder does a lot of caching, and sometimes the Info is not up to date.
