I am facing the same problem but only when visiting the site via my MacBook. If I visit the site from work with an iMac everything’s normal
Yes still white space on mobile Discourse app.
We were waiting for the new release to switch themes 
Perhaps shift-reload the page (option-reload on some browsers). Maybe the old theme was still cached.
Thanks - it eventually uncached itself and I’m enjoying the new look. Congratulations on the release!
