# G4 Layers palette does not keep position

Hi everyone,

I find it annoying that the Layers palette does not keep the scrolled position. I work on a file that has 6 masters and some glyphs have many version layers so the palette is long and I have to scroll to use it. The problem is, when I’m working on e.g. Thin and I scroll down the palette to make the Regular visible in the background by toggling the little eye, as soon as I select the eye the palette auto-scrolls up a little bit.

Look at the jump after selecting the eye — I am not scrolling at all. Also, the palette jumps from just moving nodes left/right.

I can’t reproduce this. What versions of Glyphs and macOS is this and can you try without plugins (Hold down the Option + Shift key when you start Glyphs.)?

Glyphs 4201 (also in older versions), Tahoe 26.6.2.

The problem is still there even without the plugins. Funny thing, that palette jump when I move nodes works on character t, but not on all others. It also works on s

Some more context, the file I’m working on was started in G3 a couple of years ago, then converted to G4. Perhaps that affects the glitches?

I am having the same problem  
also with files originally created with G3
