There are several bugs around the intermediate layer feature:
When I select intermediate layers, other glyphs follow the axis value and become an interpolated shape. It makes sense. However, when I select between intermediate layers and masters, the edit view jumps to a random place, which is a bit annoying.
Also, sometimes other glyphs don’t follow the axis value of in-editing glyphs.
When I re-interpolate intermediate layers, some nodes have decimal values, and I should move them to align them. G3 aligns them to integers when re-interpolating.
Additionally, when I select another glyph (B) from the intermediate layer (A), Glyphs shows the interpolated node structure of the intermediate layer (A)’s axis value.
If Glyphs shows the intermediate layer of another glyph (B) when that glyph (B) also has an intermediate layer with the exact same value as the previous glyph (A), it will be helpful.
When selecting an intermediate layer, the edit view is switched to that coordinate. But if you select a master layer, only that layer is switched, the rest of the layers use whatever is set in the toolbar masters selector.
Yes, when I select some intermediate layers, the edit view jumps randomly. I expect the “E” glyph to stay centred at all times, but it moves around. In my case, it happens only when I select intermediate layers, not in masters.
Here in Glyphs 3, the editing glyph is always centred. I think it should be natural.
