Getting _lots_ of crashes in G2 in MacOS 12

Unfortunately G2 is very unstable on MacOS 12. I’m using version 1352 and have been sending lots of error reports. Notably:

when waking up the Macbook after sleep, Glyphs often hangs with a spinning ball.
cannot open any TTF file.
open and save system dialog causes an endless spinning ball.
simple operations like using the transfomations panel, switching between foreground and background layers, showing and hiding metrics causes an instant exit.

Unprompted, Terminal is sometimes popping open with this kind of message:

Is there anything else that would be useful for you to troubleshoot this?

That is not the latest G2. Have you tried with the latest cutting edge?

Thanks, didn’t notice I hadn’t switched on cutting edge versions. I hate updating in the middle of a project as there are always auto alignment things that change, this time not too many so will keep going and see if any errors pop up — so far exporting and opening ttfs seems to work! — thanks Rainer!

Too afraid to change the version of the software a couple clicks. But changing the architecture of the machine and version of the OS is fine.

Here’s the problem when changing versions:

When there are 1200 glyphs in 8 masters it’s extremely unwanted for glyphs to get adjusted. And this pane is asking me whether to keep or change them before I’ve even seen what change it is suggesting.

That error might be an incompatibly of a library Glyphs is using with Rosetta (the system component that allows running Intel binaries on Apple Silicon). It shouldn’t impact the app.
