Glyph crashes when opening Plugin Manager

Hey there!

So I have a problem that I have no idea how to fix.

I wanted to install some Plugins for Glyphs. When I tried to open the Plugin Manager a window popped up saying I need to install Git in order to use the plugin Manager.

I did so by installing homebrew and then installing git. But since I did that, Glyphs crashes every time I open the Plugin Manager.

My MacBook stopped working properly as well after I installed homebrew and git and I had to force quit that poor thing.

I have no idea what to do.

Pls help.

did you restart your mac? What happens when you run “git” in the Terminal? Do you happen to have a new Apple Silicon mac?

Yes I had to restart my macbook since it stopped responding…

I can run Git without any trouble. ( I have version 2.24.3)

My MacBook isn’t one of the new ones. It’s a Macbook Pro 13 Inch from 2018…

I don’t know what to do and it’s really frustrating since I need the plug ins…

do you get crash report window after you restart Glyphs? Can you send that (a few times to).

Yes I did.

Well do you mean just the crash report window or the crash report itself?

I did send the crash report directly to glyphs a few times as well.

What version of Glyphs do you have (2.6.6-1352 is the latests)?

Version 2.6.4 (1286)

No idea what could be wrong?

Any reason you don’t have the latest version?
And what version of MacOS do you have?

2.6.6 is the latest released version. But switch to the latest beta please. Go to Glyphs > Preferences > Updates, activate both checkboxes and press the Update button.

If the update isn’t working, download the app from the website.

I just didn’t knew that there was an update available

I installed the update and boom. I can open the plug-in Manager and install plugins
