Glyphs 3 crashing when exporting variable font

Hello there !

I’m creating my first font using Glyphs and I’ve come across an issue when trying to export the font with its variable font settings. I have two masters, a Regular and a Bold one and they both export completely fine on their own, but as soon as I try to export them as a variable font (I’ve followed Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer’s tutorial and I feel like I understand the principle fairly well) Glyphs crashes, be it with interpolated instances or without them.

Any idea on what might cause the issue ?

What version of Glyphs do you have?

I believe it’s version 3.0.5.

I should also add that I’m running the trial version of Glyphs !

You don’t get an error message? Perhaps you can send us the .glyphs file?

Already done ! I’ve since tried to use the .glyphs file on Fontlab and it seemed to export fine as a variable font, so I really don’t get what is happening.

Can you send me the .glyphs file?

It is called a bug. That can happen ;(
