Glyphs 3416, unlike previous versions, adds “Regular” to name ID 1.
Why is this? I don’t think it is a good idea to have “Regular” as part of the family name shown in the font menu, e.g. in MS Word on Windows, and I certainly want this as a silent update in Glyphs.
Once again, this is a sudden change in behaviour. Why does Glyphs keep changing all the time? As I mentioned before, any change in (export) behaviour is a bad idea unless it is very clearly a bug fix. Continuity is what professional users really want more than anything else. Once again, it’s difficult to decide which Glyphs version to use because the older version has certain bugs and the newer version has certain other bugs. It’s driving me crazy.
