It’s not possible to rearrange layers by dragging them as it was in Glyphs 3, it just selects multiple of them instead. Is it on purpose? Is there a new way to do it?
You mean in the Layers panel?

What layers are that? can you post a screenshot of your layer panel and select one of the layer you like to drag?
Sure. Here I want to put the last one before the previous one because it makes more sense for me. But when I click and drag, it only selects multiple layers.
In Glyphs 3 I used this feature quite often. It also worked to use a layer as master it was quite handy.
That works just fine for me. Can you send me a screenshot of the full window (maybe in a private message).

I have the same problem. Can’t rearrange layers. Dragging them up or down just extends the selection.
You can’t drag if you have an active filter. Check the filter button (second from right at the bottom of the layers panel).
Is this an intended change in G4? Rearranging layers worked in G3, even with “Only Show Layers from Current Master” on.
There are more filter potions and the internal structure changed. Any filtering is preventing dragging, now. But the current master filter could allow dragging. I’ll have a look.
