I’m experiencing a problem with my Glyphs application. While working on a font, I was editing a glyph, selected everything, deleted, and the app crashed. This issue usually occurs with glyphs that have many corner components, but this particular glyph only had two inktraps. Typically, Glyphs restarts with the autosaved file open, allowing me to continue working. However, this time it continuously says the app doesn’t respond, forcing me to force quit.
I delete the autosaved file and attempted to start the app. I also tried to start the app without loading the plugins. Then I tried to uninstall Glyphs and reinstall it. It keeps saying the app doesn’t respond.
Has anyone else ever encountered this issue, and if so, is there a solution for it? Thank you in advance!!
I’m not sure how to check, because when I try to start the app the top bar won’t appear. However I downloaded the installation file currently available on the site which came in a folder called 3.2.3-3260.
I have many plugins installed. Some that come to my mind right now are Remix Tools, Show Tops and Bottoms, Show Stem Thickness, Green / Grey Armony, Kernkraft.
This is the crash report that I get after I force quit Glyphs: Crash Report.zip (215.3 KB)
I don’t know how I managed to break the app before, but I was able to solve the issue by installing an older version of glyphs. As soon as I opened it it told me that the Autosaved file (that I deleted) could not be found, so I assume it had something to do with it. I then updated it back to the latest version and now it’s working.
I apologize for the inconveniente and I thank you both for your help. If you need any other information I will be happy to provide it.
Edit: it was definitely the Autosaved version of the crashed file (I didn’t delete it, just moved it to a different path). I tried to open it now and Glyphs stopped responding again, but it works with any other file.
